Breaker TRV Capacitors

AREVA manufacturers a full line of breaker TRV capacitors, based on the same capacitor technology used in the capacitor sections of our capacitor voltage transformer design. When installed near circuit breakers, the capacitor improves the short-line fault / transient recovery voltage performance of the breaker.

Breaker capacitors are available for mounting on breaker bushings or for mounting on separate support structures. Insulators can be either porcelain or polymer.

Custom physical and electrical designs are available for mounting to specific breaker bushings.
