69 kV to 765 kV

AREVA Instrument Transformers manufactures a complete range of high voltage oil-filled voltage transformers from 69 kV to 765 kV. For 69 kV applications, please also refer to our medium-voltage section for the dry-type design, AREVA type VEF 72.

Designs for system voltages of up to 345 kV incorporate a single coil housed in the tank at the base of the unit. Designs from 500 kV to 765 kV use a cascade winding design.

Internal insulation is provided by a hermetically sealed oil-impregnated paper system. Outer insulation consists of a porcelain insulator or polymer insulator.

Voltage transformers offer a reliable accuracy performance over time and have a near-perfect transient response.

Designs are available with 0.3% and 0.15% accuracy ratings.
