AREVA manufactures an extensive line of cast epoxy-resin insulated voltage transformers for 15 kV through 69 kV metering, protection, and control applications.

Units can be ordered by catalog number or can be custom designed to customer specifications. Common options include high-accuracy (0.15% or better) designs and extended creepage distance designs.

Key features of AREVA MV outdoor VTs are as follows:

• Industry-standard secondary terminal box is cast aluminum
• Mounting plate is marine-grade aluminum
• Designs up to 34.5 kV can be mounted in the vertical, horizontal, or suspended position
• Excellent outdoor weatherability and UV resistance
• High tracking and arc resistance
• Virtually inflammable
• Extremely high mechanical strength (1100 lbs cantilever strength)
• Conservative core/coil design (low flux) for improved resistance to system ferroresonance
• Partial discharge test performed as a routine test on all units
• ANSI Grey color as standard (brown upon special request)
